A Trip to Oslo.. Part One.

I took a trip to Oslo with Little Man and his Mama this past week, we stayed for five days. It was Little Mans first time on a train, (that he can actually remember :), he found it fascinating and very exciting! We stayed with Aslaug's Grandmother and Grandfather, (called Mormor and Morfar in Norwegian), Kjell, and Inger Anny. Although unfortunately  Kjell, was on a hunting trip, and didn't arrive till the day before we left. It was such a wonderful time, the weather was perfect throughout the entire visit, with no rain at all! We did lots of sightseeing, visiting, eating and exploring.

I have done "part one", as I took so many pictures during the visit, and while on the train I don't think I can fit them all into one post. So you get to enjoy two! :)

A very happy little boy.

He dropped, pretty soon after we had started out.

 Coffee, and letter writing.

This area reminded me of home.

This is the door that nobody could figure out of to open.
A happy Little Man.

We passed "Dear John" back and forth between us, throughout the trip. :)

Chocolate... the best part of the trip! ;)
 We finally arrived in Oslo.
Where, on our way to the ferry, we found this..

 He was soooo excited!
You can't see it very well, but the clock did have cool designs around it.
These few window shots, are for Kenneth and the little ladies.

This was a seven seater bike!
Finally the last leg of the journey.. the Ferry.

Mormor picked us up on the other side.
She had a delicious dinner waiting for us.

With tea and fruit afterwards.

This was a most welcome sight.

Fun and Festivals!

Saturday was spent enjoying the beauty of downtown Bergen and nice weather. There was a Food Festival taking place there over the weekend, so we headed out bright and early to go!

We did some sightseeing, and some food tasting. We had a special dessert of free homemade ice cream, which was made by Tore's brother, Aslaug's uncle, Oeystein, who has a dairy farm and an Ice Creamery where they make their own ice cream and their own cones! Oeystein, was really nice, and the ice cream and cones were delicious! We also went to McDonalds for the first time since being here, which was in a old building that had a very cool second floor. As you might be able to imagine, it looked nothing like McDonalds! :)

I took tons of  pictures of many different things, so you will have to put up with a lot of randomness! :)

All ready to go.
A bus selfie!
I like this mirror..
He enjoyed the ice cream *very* much!

I totally understood why!
Roof tops.

A garden.

Doors in the wall.

Shops down behind the warf.

Pelts!

It was very busy!

There you are!

This was the second floor.
A pink tractor in the store.
A police car for Kenneth!
