~ Castles Of Colors. ~

  Castles of Colors

"How I love to walk
On dried fallen leaves
The sounds of crunching I hear.

Colors of brown, red and gold
Form a carpet so rich,
The sounds are a tune to my ear.

Rake them in a piles,
like castles of color,
And then the children appear.

As they tumble and roll,
Through the piles of dried leaves,
Their laughter filling the air.

As the cold approaches
Bringing winds that will sting,
Say goodbye to these castles so dear.
You'll not see them again till next year."

  1. Awwww.....such happy pictures, these! Makes me miss you all all the more! One day, Lord willing, I'll go too, just like you. We awoke to a fairly heavy blanketing of snow this morning! On the way home from shopping yesterday we made our way through somewhat of *a blizzard*! The fastest we could go was 25 mph down rte 80, and even then, the visibility was so poor that it was a bit of a (white knuckle) challenge, the doing so! I was glad to be home when we finally were.

The girlies are busy making Oli's and Chubb's birthday cake, a chocolate torte, in preparation for tomorrow's celebration. Me, I'm sitting and writing letters, this one, though just a short note, to you. I love you, {Care}. Can't wait to see you. How lovely that the countdown has begun! Be sure and give out lots of love, hugs, and kisses, while you can, to those that you'll so-soon be leaving and not seeing for what-will-be a fairly long while. Give my love to each precious one there. Miss you all.

    Tenderly, Mama
